The asexual pride flag is a symbol used by individuals who identify as asexual, which means that they do not experience sexual attraction or do not feel a strong connection to sex. The asexual pride flag consists of four stripes: black, grey, white, and purple. The black stripe represents asexuality, the grey stripe represents grey-asexuality or demisexuality, the white stripe represents non-asexual allies, and the purple stripe represents community. Some people who are asexual may also identify as aromantic, and may use other pride flags in addition to the asexual pride flag to represent their identity. The asexual pride flag was designed by AVEN (the Asexuality Visibility and Education Network) in 2010.
