The intersex pride flag is a symbol used by individuals who are intersex, which means that they have physical sex characteristics that do not fit the typical definitions of male or female. The intersex pride flag consists of six stripes: purple, white, and yellow, with a circle of pink, blue, and purple in the center. The purple stripe represents intersex people, the white stripe represents non-binary or non-gendered identity, and the yellow stripe represents people with a third gender or non-binary gender identity. The circle in the center represents the diversity of intersex people and the fluidity of gender. Some people who are intersex may also use other pride flags, such as the LGBTQ+ pride flag or the non-binary pride flag, to represent their identity. The intersex pride flag was designed by Morgan Carpenter in 2013.
